Default 170 rear tire

Hey everyone. I just bought a 170 pilot sport for my rear tire. I was having problems getting a good 160 for a good deal, and found the 170 at a great deal. I know it's pretty close to the 160 size. Am I going to have any problems? And what is a good price to have tires mounted and balanced, if I bring in the wheels?

you can stuff as much as a 180 on it if you want, it will just affect the way the bike handles...i kept 180's on my f3.

Don't put anything bigger than a 170 on it. The bike doesn't need it. You will just lose power because of the weight and size. Not much but you will lose a little.

i noticed that when switching from a 160 to 170 that the turning was slower. keep that in mind. on the street i can't see it being a big deal, but on the track a 160 was fine for me and i noticed that the 170 was a little slower on the turns, but apparantly you would get more contact with the road surface.

You only increase your contact patch at extreme lean angles where the 160 runs out of rubber. Everywhere else the contact patch doesn't change.

I run a 180 on mine and it rides fine. I was told by my mechanic that if you lean too much that it can slide out from under you. It was on when I got it but will be of before riding season gets here.

I didn't think you could get a 180 to fit! Damn wish I would of ordered that instead of my 170! Oh well.
