Default +1 front sprocket

I'd like to lower the cruising rpm's of my F3. I was looking around on a gas mileage website and a guy on there went from averaging 50mpg to 58mpg with lowering his rpm's by 500 at cruise on his 500cc bike.

You'd lose a lot of acceleration, but highway cruising would be less buzzy, with better mpg.

It depends on how you use your bike.

I was actually thinking of going -1 on mine for better acceleration but was worried about the handful of times that I do longer rides on the highway...

Ihad -1 inthe frontand a stock on the back and had no problem on the highway. Now I'm running -1 in front and +5 in the rear. It's still 150-160 mph gearing ratio, but the gas mileage sucks, but the performance is killer.

Running a 14 in front and 48 in the back, the max speed at 13,500 rpm would be 143mph. Your speedo doesn't display accurate speed.

so maybe it would take me a whole 4 seconds to get to 60 instead of 3. haha i'm not really worried about it, more about cruising and better mileage.

may cause it to have more of a tentency to stall at lights. And would kill its performance in the twisties. Leave it stock.
