Default yes or no?

hello everyone,
well there is a 92 cbr f2 for sale in my area with bad fairings and i was wondering if it would be a good deal to pick it up and put f4i front fairings on with the rr tail?

i can get the bike for about 500 and then i would ebay the fairings.
cause i was thinking about getting a newer bike, but i dont want to spend 6000.

Welcome to the forum!
If the F2 is in good running condition, I say go for it...do you have the F4i fairings?
Good Luck!

no i do not have f4i fairings now, but i would have 1000 after buying the bike.

i think i am going to go look at this weekend.

i was looking around this is what came up with for prices tell me what you think
cbr f2-500
Fairing brakets upper+lower(f4i)-130
Left+right side fairing(f4i)-60 (a little scuffed)
upper fairing(f4i)-40
Headlight(f4i)-60 w/ a broken tab
Gauges(f4i)-100
windscreen (f4i)-25
mirrors(f4i)-20
bolt assortment-20
tail fairing(6rr)-30 w/ out seats

total-975 w/ shipping
note: these are just estaments. not all the fairings are in perfect condition and are not all the same color. they could and most likely will go higher in price.

if i am missing something cause it feels like i am please let me know.

thanks

The pieces WILL go up in price. I have been buying F3 fairing pieces on Ebay for about two months (I'm almost all the way there). The closer to the summer I get the more expensive parts get. Buy the bike, get her running awesome and ride 'er naked this summer. Do the fairing conversion over the winter when prices fall off again. I got mine for $1000 and put about 700 into tires, brakes, panels and a truck bed liner kit to paint it (yeah, I'm serious).I've only put about 200miles on mine and I already love my F2.

I got the idea last summer during a Stride (learning centers)fund raiserride. I saw a guy who had a blue Shadow Sabre and the paint looked textured. He said he paid about $800 to get it sprayed at a local shop. I liked the way it looked and decided to try it. I'm poor though so I'm going to do it myself. I haven't decided whether to roll it or rent a comressor and spray it. When I get it shot I will definately post a buttload of pics.
