would you do it again?

would you do it again?
if you had to start over would you have put the money you did into your F2 again or would you have saved it for a better bike? the reason i am asking is because i really like my F2 and have got a bunch of compliments on it when filling it up with gas and everything and would like to do some stuff to it but not sure if its worth it or if i would be better off saving for a new bike.

RE: would you do it again?
any bike is what you make it for yourself. if it makes u happy, do the lil mods and stay happy.
I have owned 9 different motorcycles over the past 4 years. I didn't wreck them (well sometimes but always fixed them back up), i just kept selling and buying them bc i would get bored with them. here is my list so far
97 tl1000s (01 tlr engine swap brakes etc)
03 600rr (bolt ons, 06 front body work)
03 f4i (streetfighter/stunter) (929 front end)
99 r6 (long story on that hah)
00 sv650
88 hawk gt
97 gsxr 600 (custom paint etc)
93 fzr 600 (bought and sold for more next day haha)
94 f2 (just got it).
So i guess u can say i have been around the block on my bikes (and ridden many more). the f2 is a great bike.. fast enough for the street or track, dead reliable and good mpg (50). try getting 50mpg on a 03 600rr or f4i not going to happen haha unless u ride like a puss.
anyway if u like the bike yeah modify it. i plan on modifying mine!

RE: would you do it again?
Hi there,
I bought my F2 new from the dealer back in 92 and I have been working onit ever since.
Half the fun is modifying the bike, making it better and to be able to say that you did it yourself.

RE: would you do it again?
I love my F2 but If I still had the cash I bought it with in my hands today id probly buy a newer bike, I bought my F2 for 2500$ in august 2007 I didnt know much about street bikes and I later found out I could have got an F2 for like 2 grand, I have since put over 1000$ into my bike (tires, brakes, chain, clutch, gauges, levers). Its a good bike but with the way the econmy is right now ive been seeing 05 gsxr's going for 3500$ witch makes me still wish I had the 3500 that went into my 91 f2 even though its a great bike. Ive put quite a few new parts on it and I think im just about done other than maby cleaning carbs, rebuilding forks and new cabels would be nice. oh and coolant flush.

meh, I love my bike and would do it again. Its just money and you will make more later, and it gave me joy so who am I to complain? I am looking into getting a newer bike in the future, but also thinking about keeping my F2 also. I learned a lot more on it than I would have on a newer one that is for sure.

I love mine, it was my first bike and learned a lot on it. When I first rode it I thought I could beat a fighter jet on it because it was soooo fast lol. After you have ridden it for a while and get used to it being heavy and the way the power comes on you will **** your pants when you get another bike! I went from the F2 to an 06 1000RR and it felt like it weighed half as much and is 3 times as fast! My best friends both have 07 600RR's and when I ride theirs everyonce in a while they are so light I feel like I am on a bicycle and it is smaller overall also. You bought it with cash and don't owe a cent on it so keep it and use it for a while and later buy another bike with money saved and keep it as a back up or sell it to a friend to learn on or ride with you.
