Are the throttle plates not supposed to be at 90 degrees at WOT?
I've been messing with the throttle cables for hours, trying to get them to work (and return automatically), but I can't imagine they would design the carbs to not open to WOT (90 degrees) at max open.

Even stranger, the carbs I took off my bad engine will open all the way, but they wouldn't open all the way when they were on the bike. And then, the carbs I put on my good engine would open all the way when they were off the bike, and now they won't open all the way...
So, WTF?

Actually, I don't think they will... I could have sworn the carbs I put on the bike would open to 90 degrees before I put them on the bike, and they wouldn't when I put them on (WITHOUT the cables hooked up). Not to mention the throttle grip will do a full 180 degrees with the cables, if I don't hook them to the carbs.
So perhaps I've got some sort of blockage.
Oh, come to think of it, maybe one of the hose clamps that holds the carbs on the bike is hitting one of the secondary (or even the primary) throttle arm...thingies. I kind of ignored the stock positions to make them easier to put on
