Default Will F3 carbs fit a F2?

I was wondering if a set of F3600 carbs will fit a F2 600? I have tryied to seach the forums a few times and I cant come up with anything. My F2 carbs cracked and I bought some F3 carbs that the seller toldme would fit a F2 as well. Oh well I got them for under 50 bucks so I can always re-sell them but I wanna know if they willfit before I get my hopes up. Thanks.

I have seen this question before but I'm not sure it was ever truly answered. I don not know the answer for sure, but I would guess No; the reason being that the F3 has Ram Air and I would think the increased airflow would necessitate greater fuel flow that would probably flood an F2 out. Just a hunch...BUT, for less than $50 I would give it a try, and maybe try it with the airbox off and individual air filters...but I am a tinkerer. Would be a nice mod if it could be tuned...

F3 carbs have a TPS(throttle position sensor) that the F2 does not. I'm thinking that would futz things up as well. I know you CAN make F2 carbs work on a F3, with some power loss. I feel like the reverse would be true as well.

I heard the only diffrence is the F3 carbs have a TPS and the F2's dont like you said, and that just hooks in to change the spark timing. But I dont need that so I should be able to leave it unhooked. Thats what the seller said too. I duno if he's right or not.And I am unsure about the airbox. It comes with the bottom of the airbox and the plentems. But I wonder if I could reuse the F2 plentems and airbox on those carbs.

I was told you can just leave the TPS unhooked, but they did say that since these carbs are 2 mm bigger and the ram airI would need to rejet. Thats fine. My F2 carbs cracked and I picked these up for cheap so I couldnt complain. If they dont work I can always re-sell them. But from what I was reading on another CBR forum all I have to do is rejet it and modify my stock airbox a little or use invidvdual filters.

Well I was trying to see if anyone knew, but yeah I will let you know. I won the auction tonight and I live in MI and they are coming from Flordia so it will take a few days. I got a buddy who just spent 3 years at MMI working on my bike, so he says he can rejet it and get them to work then I guess I will give it a werl..
