Default Whose F2 "pops" on overrun?

Just curious to see if anyone else's exhaust pops on overrun/deceleration.

My f2 has always done it, even when it had the stock exhaust and filter, & I cannot for the life of me find an exhaust leak so I figured it must be an f2 thing..

So does your F2 POP?

Please define "overrun" - are you talking about bumping the rev limiter, or maybe high RPM deceleration?

Mine does too. Never have gotten around to adjusting the pilot circuit.

Adjusting the mixture screws had no effect, slipping another washer under the needles also had no effect and I replaced crush gaskets on the headers to no avail.

I guess the only thing left is upping the pilot jets to 40?

Or should I go with a jk that has adjustable needles?

IF its happening at 0% throttle opening on decel it should be in the pilot circuit..upping the pilot jet from 38 to 40 might help but you should be able to tune it out with the 38s.. is the bike a cali spec by chance?

Assuming that the carbs are 100% clean and functioning properly you should be able to tune it out..if it is still popping on decel check your exhaust for leaks...thats the only other thing i could think of that could cause that issue..
