There's a thread on this board detailing how to install F4i gauges... We don't get the 400cc bikes in North America unless they are imported individually, so you would be hard pressed to find somebody on this board that has used gauges from a "gray bike".

Thanks for that, I know about the fitment of f4i clocks but my bike is a track/race bike so all I want is a tacho and temp gauge.

I have a set of VFR400 clocks but cannot get them to work. I traced the wire from the spark unit which is green & yellow together with a power lead and earth but no sign of life at all.

Does anyone know the correct way to wire up a tacho and temp gauge on the CBR600FM?

You can try any aftermarket tach and temp gauges and retrofit them.

Just out of curiosity, what's wrong with your gauges?

There are aftermarket radiator caps with temperature gauges on them also.

I do not have the std CBR clocks. What I wanted to make work was these clocks from a VFR400

I do have that works a mini eletronic tacho which does wire off the coil and just got hold of a Scitsu temp gauge.

I have a electronic tacho which I can't get to work at all. I do know a little about electrics but need more help or direction.

There are 3 wires from the tacho, LIVE, Earth, and wire that goes to the CDI (ignitor box).

Is there a way of checking the yellow & green wire from the CDI?

Is there a way of checking the tacho?

I do have a multi meter if someone can tell me what to do?

I managed to get the temprature gauge working ok. I'm having to do my own wiring as it's a race bike without many junctions conectors.

Anyones help appreciated. Rob.
