as per an article on this site i removed the cap and let it run from cold for about 15 minutes to remove any air that MIGHT be in the system...coolant level seemed fine in both the radiator and the resevoir tank....i don't have my ratchet set here so i can't remove the thermostat or bleed the system just yet so that'll have to wait until tomorrow most likely. also i think the valves need adjusted...asap...since this bike isn't in my name yet i don't have plates..or a trailer to take it to the nearest shop just yet...honestly until i figure out exactly whats up with it i don't want to finish the paperwork but we will see

if it gets all the way to hot while idling then it is probably the fan. is the fan coming on? it will also cool it down with the wind when riding. if the coolant is leaking check the eay stuff first like any cracks in the hoses and try to find where its leaking from.
