What if?

What if?
Alright.. So.. I got a new job that pays rather well, and I find myself with a bit of excess cash. I was tossing the idea of getting a new bike around in my head, OR "do-ing" up the old F2. And by do-ing I was thinking: new plugs, wires, full exhaust (or atleast one that will make the bike sound good and give it a bit better throttle response.. less high pitch whine, more deep growl), jet kit, and a K&N filter. Currently, my F2 is bone stock with the exception of a DID gold 525 chain and an APE CCTL
The question is, what kindof money am I talking and what kind of performance will all of that add to the bike? Will it cost me in terms of mileage? I do a good number of trips on the bike and definitely do not want to sacrifice one bit of distance that I can go on a tank.

Well, a pipe and jet kit, wires and all that will gain you some power, but even a stock F4i will smoke it that way. F2's and F3's are bullet proof, but with the steel frames they will always be way heavier. Its all in what you wanna spend.
Plus look at it this way. If you have a $2000 bike and put $2000 in mods on it, you bike still wouldnt sell for much more than your original $2000 value. If you sell your F2 for $2000 and put $2000 cash with it you can buy a higher performing bike that will retain more value.
