Default What I have been up too for a couple of days ;)

For the last couple of days I have been crazy busy doing this bike. It went from being a month project to a couple of days. I had to get it done..it was underneath my skin saying "fix me..fix me". So I did.

Task:
-Take off all panels.
-Sand all panels and fix all cracks and scratches from previous owner
-Fix dent in gas tank
-Repaint
-Install

Next Task:
-Rims powder coated black
-New mirrors

Here are the pictures below. There horrible since it's raining outside and I cant get her out till this weekend or maybe tomorrow if lucky. Soon if worthy I'll try running for bike of the month.

Again sorry for the bad pic's.

Very nice Krux!! Once those wheels are done she'll look very stealthy and that V&H makes her sound fantastic. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Looks like you're doing the work in your living room...lol.

Hahah not married. I am only 22 and living at home. This was all taken in my garage. I have it nice out there since I re-did it to make it my second home.

Thanks for the complements. Once the rim's are done it will be all gravey. Hoping to have that done here in a month or so..depending on money.

As for the gas tank I talked to a couple of my buddy's that are very knowledgeable(Wyotech both). They were telling me that the metal is so thin on these bikes that its better to use a filler(I used DuraGlass). Its a short hair nap that is fiberglass that is water proof, etc. I had to do two small swipes of it and sand in between and it was gone. Stuff is hard like a rock and have to sand with 80 grit and feather it out with 220. Loved the results. If you want I can upload a pic of the after on how it turned out.

It looks awesome!!! What did you use to fill the cracks and scratches? I'm thinking I'm about to go that route too.
