Default V&H Power Commander for an F2?

Bought some plastics off a guy and he said he had a "Rev box/power commander" for an F2.

He said it's for a 900 but it fits a 600. Claims he had it on his.

Is he blowing smoke up me bum or this is legit?

Since our bikes aren't fuel injected, and the ignition isn't computer controlled (adjustible), I can't imagine what any sort of device would do, unless it bypasses the entire stock ignition controller.

Short story - power commanders don't work on carb'ed bikes

Thats right Slick89, Vance and Hines made what they called the Power Pak for carbed bikes back before fuel injections.

I'm no expert, but I can't think of too much. Possibly it could be beefing up the spark signal, or altering timing some - but without knowing how it is installed, or operates It is pure guessing.

Well - I goggled around a bit, and found some threads on older bike threads like FZr's and similar vintage CBR 900's, and most of the responses indicate the V&H PowerPak did provide a good bit more performance. YMMV. Anyway - here's a couple of pics of the instruction set for the CBR900 setup - you might be able to ask V&H Tech if they have an instruction set they can email you for your particualr unit.
