I got the race version because I wanted a confidence inspiring tire.haha. But I also got the warmers because I read the race tires last longer by eliminating heat cycling and prevent cold tearing. Plus I didnt want to waste expensive laps lolly gagging around the track waiting for the tires to get up to temp. Oh, from what I've read I dont think I would waste my money on Shinko's, unless the guys at SportRider Magazine highly recommended them. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, no doubt, but I am already counting on ditching the first two laps of each session, in order to get heat in the tires, because I am 99% positive that I won't be able to fit tire warmers in the budget for the first event - not to mention, I would need a generator, which I currently don't have either - but, who knows? I've got a lot of OEM parts to sale, that I need to start posting up now...maybe I'll make some dough! I'm even having a big garage sale the last weekend of June, where I should make a few more bucks also.

Yes, and then there's the Shinkos - it's frustrating, because some folks are singing the praises of these tires, and others are saying they are worthless - leaves me in a pickle!! Without a doubt, the only way that I'LL KNOW FOR SURE, is to try them myself, but I'm still uncertain.
