hey everyone i just started riding, and my bike has been making loud clanking noises after the bike starts... one of my buddies told me it might be the timing chain, can someone help? it makes ALOT of noise and i don't know what to do thx!

 

That is right, sort of...it is more than likely the camchain tensioner. This has been covered alot on this forum since it is a common problem with CBR's
I would recommend getting a manual camchain tensioner from CBRzone ( sponsor here)
