Default throttle problem

i felt something pop in the throttle the other day and now the throttle will actually twist about a 1/4 turn before it ever starts to rev the bike. other than twisting so far before it revs the bike drives normally. anyone have a suggestion on what my problem might be. i need to get this fixed as soon as possible. thanks

Take it apart, look at your throttle cables. Probably need to replace one or both.

that was my initial thoughts when i felt the pop, but it will go from idle to full throttle no problem, there is just a ton of play in the throttle at idle now. so that makes me think the cables arent broken.

your gonna have to pop the tank off and reset the cable adjusters at the carb. sounds like they werent tightened all the way and just came loose. no biggie

Take your handle off and see if maybe your handle broke and that could be where your play is coming from.
