You have 2 different options when posting pics.
1) Click on "Post Reply" and *not* "Fast Reply". The window is a bit different and give you an option just below the text field for "Click here to upload" and a check box for "Embed picture in post" (be sure to check the check box before you click on Upload).
Example #1:
[IMG]local://upfiles/8787/B9432DC134494DE5A84921323B2FF00C.jpg[/IMG]
2) Host the image somewhere else (this allows you to get around the size restrictions) and click the "image" button above the text field (in either "Fast Reply" or "Post Reply"). Then, insice the two "image" tags you put the URL to the off-site hosted image.
Example #2:

The second method is what I generally do myself since I have my own server and I like to keep all my pics together.
