About to by another F2 in about an hour.

Guy says he can push start it. But the starter gear not on the starter but there is an intermediate gear. That is bad. Is this a major fix. I am getting the bike at a very good price. Just dont know enough about the internals.

I have another F2 parts bike that starts and runs. I can get parts from if needed.

what the guy is talking about is the idler gear. if you look at the pic you can see the starter gear in the top right and down and to the left there is the starter driven gear. the idler gear is what conncets these two. it has been removed in this picture. if this is what is wrong with the bike, you would have to bump start it. not too big of an issue. the bike in this pic runs like a champ with it removed. just buy yourself a stator cover gasket and pull the cover and remove the gear before it has a chance to do any other damage in there. if the bearing race is broken, you could try to weld it but there isnt really another fix. you are stuck. not a huge problem imho, though.
