suspension help
ok, meow. my 93 has approx 36k on it and the suspension doesnt seem to do much anymore. i need a new (stronger)rear spring and, of course, a new rear shock. i'm only concerned about the rear set-up. i'm going to redo the forks this winter. also i'm big-boned so a stronger or heavier rear spring may be in order. if i go with, say, a rear shock from an f4i, does the increase in rear height adversely affect handling? any help is always appreciated from you degenerates. i mean that in a nice way. thanks again.
I think we can read your post fine without the large lettering.
I believe that a shock from an F4i will work and I have a shock from an F4 coming my way to install on my F2. I go 270 and the suspension is pretty much mush under my weight unless everything is cranked tight and stiff. I have read that the rear is up by about 1.5" over stock, but if you set the preload a bit softer, I think our weight would make the back sag almost as much as it did before, but with a bit better ride quality.
BTW, I've always said I was big boined until I saw some comedian recently say that you've never walked into a school and seen a giant fat skeleton sitting there. LOL.
