It's like a 15x5 sheet of rubber. Maybe as thick as 15 pages of paper. Tucks in between your head and your airbox\coils.

If you have to move a rubber flap to see your coils, then you have it.

It was a joke, man.

To be more specific, if you have to move a rubber flap to see coils from above the bike with the tank and airbox off. The flap covers nothing from the side door. I just mention this because the way you worded this johnny made me think "well I can still see the coils from the side..."

edit: I said this wrong, I meant if you have to move a rubber flap to see the spark wires... not coils. Rubber goes between coils and wires... blahblahblah

Haha I'm so glad you posted this. It means I installed the flap wrong when I put my carbs back in. I totally have it between the coils and the wires.

I also have this problem too with my F2. It stutters at constant speed and doesn't ride smoothly. It happens after i release the throttle and let it cruise. it gets really bad between 1-5rpm. But the difference with my problem is that when it stutters i hear a popping sound (as if you pulled a suction cup off the ground). My guess it came from my carburetor diaphragm (the 4 rubber pieces on the top of the carb that has the needle. (http://img232.imageshack.us/i/diaphragm1in5.jpg/)

Do you think if there was some air leak in there, it would also cause stuttering problems? I think some carb cleaner mightve gotten into these diaphragms during cleaning and it might've deteriorated the rubber...

I think it's mostly solved now.

That sound is backfiring and is usually caused by air leaks in the air intake or exhaust, or running too lean of a mixture. if your diaphragm wasn't working properly it could be a problem, all you need to do is visually check them over for any holes or tears, and make sure when installed that your sliders retract nicely.
