well, you still never answered if you have the black piece of rubber that separates engine from airbox. You should be able to see it right above your spark plug wires. That is something people take off the bike and it is very important.

Other than that, you have a carb mixture problem. Your carbs need cleaned or adjusted.

That floppy rubber baffle? I figured it was to keep the coils dry. What's it do, then? Airflow redirection?

ANYWAY, if your plugs are that clean and you're just getting some mild stuttering under 6k and at idle, it sounds to me like you need to clean your slow jets. Of course, you're going to want to clean the bowls and ALL of the jets since your'e in there. Should clear things up quite nicely. Replace the air and fuel filters while you got the bike apart, just cuz. If you haven't cleaned your carbs in 18,000 miles, then this NEEEEEDS to be done.

Yes. The diagram you posted is of a car plug, not a bike plug. They have different connectors at the top.

with 30 its stutters harder then 50.
Bike acceleration is fine. The bike drove a total of 17 945 miles.
Who knows what this can be and how I can solve it?
Thanks.
I used to have the same problem, and almost went for a carb synchronization, but actually it was the chain that was deffective. Some of the chains elements were longer than others due to unequal wear and so the chain did not sit well on the sprockets, affecting the slack. That's why you feel the bike like you are playing with the throttle.
Put your bike on the center stand and spin the rear wheel checking the distance between the chain's pins. This picture is from a bicycle forum, but the method it shows is correct.

Keeps heat out of the air box which really messed with your mixture

Ah. I solved that by making sure to always ride perpendicular to the wind. I'll post a how-to on clamping a weather vane to the handlebars using a GPS mount.

lol wtf...

I think wind effects it too, the bike wasn't meant for ram air so a strong burst of wind into the intake isn't good either. I noticed a lot of goofy things happening with that missing rubber piece.
