my back tire is wearing a lot on the chain side i have double cheacked to see if the wheel is straight and its fine what else might it be?

 

How much slack is in your chain? Is the "inside" side of your chain cleaner than the outside? (indicative of the chain rubbing on the tire)

Can you please take a picture of the tire, it will help indicate if it is wear from the chain, tire pressure (cold tear/hot tear), shock rebound setting etc.

What size tire are you running? Stock 160/60?

 

its a 160/60 i keep my chain adjusted so it not that psi is around 36psi


there is a gremlin bell but it doesn't hit lol

 

Is the tread shallower on the one side?

It's hard to tell from the pictures but I can see a steep "drop" just to the left of the center of the tire... How old is this tire?

 

brand new last season the right side has about 4/32 the left is less then 1 almost seems like maybe a wheel bearing?

 

I don't think a wheel bearing causes tires to wear rapidly, brand new last season doesn't say much... I should ask how many miles are on it?

Looks like it's time for new rubber anyway!

 

im gonna buy new tires because these ones are not sticky enough they have probably around 3500 and there rated for 8000 but i dont want to drop big money on tires and have it do it again lol

 

Could be bad wheel bearing, misaligned rear wheel, defective tire... Hard to say for sure. Best thing to do is make sure everything is straight and tight.

Maybe you just take a lot of left hand corners.

 

HAHA im dumb left the axle nut loose so it was moving under hard take off which i do quite often thanks for all the help though

 

I take it the nut has been loose for a long time?
