Default Start in first

I have a 94 CBR600F2 and I was wondering if there is anyway to start the bike in first gear instead of neutral, such as when the bike stalls at a light or whatever. It's pretty annoying to have to find neutral in a situation like that, start the bike, shift to first, then move....

I know a lot of bikes do start in first gear, is this something that the F2 just doesn't do, or is it something that has to be enabled...

Thanks...

hold the clutch in. As long as you have the side stand up, you can start the bike in any gear.

If your having trouble shifting from 1st or 2nd to Neutral, either your new and its your starter bike or you need to re-adjust the rear chain.

Kawasaki's can't start in 1st gear, but ya we can. When the bike's off, you sometimes have to roll the bike a little with the clutch in and then try to shift to neutral to get it to shift.

if everything is working properly on your bike. you should be able to start it when the side stand is up and the clutch is pulled in.

like the general consensus says, hold in the clutch when you stall out at a light or something, just like a car.

secondly, ive only been riding for like two weeks and finding nuetral is not that hard, and is a good habit to get into.
This is one of the best bikes to learn on and makes a great starter bike.

i've got a 94 f2 and even though i haven't done anything to this one yet my old kawi all i had to do was take the clip off the underside of the clutch lever. it enables you to start the bike w/out the clutch in any gear. dangerous for the average idiot but great for me when my second day riding i stalled in the middle of an intersection and started it again in first rather then having to find neutral etc.....
