Default Some questions about 600f2

Hi,

I bought a cbr600 f2 and saw some strange things
I've got questions about the following two pics:

One tube were loose, I have connect it again.
I don't know what this tube is, does someone know this?


and the next question.
I've found also this sort of computer or something?
what is this and is this standard?

Looks to me like that tube connects to the airbox

Hey the first pic is the hose that goes the the small air filter. shown in this pic from my repair manual. The second picture is of the Regulator/Rectifier. The regulator looks like it's aftermarket, which is good because they are known to burn out of the f2's but it looks like it's in good shape to me. if you need anything else let me know.

thanks for the clear answers.
this is my first bike so
is there any problem if this tube is not connected?
what can go wrong? or why should it not be connected?

The tube should be connected. The thing next to it is a filter. If it's not connected, rain, grit, sand, could get into places they really shouldn't be, like the carbs.

OK, so it's really the maintube for the fresh air to the engine/carbs...
Luckily I saw this so soon.

If it keeps poppin of get a better hose clamp to put over it and tighten it down.

the second picture is the R/R..if its the OEM.. expect it to go out on you. from what i've heard and experienced, switch to the R.R from a gsxr 750.

OEM ones work just fine if you put a little heat sink compound behind them.
$3 and 5 minutes.

Regardless, that R/R is aftermarket... The wires also appear to be new.
