Hey all new to the forum and still pretty new to riding but im happy as hell to be doing both! Im looking to buy my first bike and i would like the opinions of you scholars.
Its a 1991 f2 and the craigslist add can be found here 1991 Honda CBR 600F 1000 or best offer
I texted the guy and he said it needs a new battery and a new t valve and i bartered the price down to $500. Keep in mind that im a new rider and have the mechanic skills of a monkey. So i would have to pay to get what ever work needs to be done.
Should i buy the bike and put in the work or am i getting in over my head?

If you have a friend that knows about bikes, take him with you to look at it. Hell, buy the "T" vavle and battery, take it with you and install if it wont start or does start and raps like hell, take your battery and run. But for $500, it looks ok to me.
I bought mine for $550 with many more problems and much uglier than that one.
Ive spent maybe $300 to get mine fully up and running and am glad i bought mine and ive learned a ton about the bike on the way.
I have auto mechanic experience but this is my first street bike ive worked on.
