A shorty exhaust is just a shorter muffler. Makes the pitch higher I beleive, and allows air to move slightly better... but I'm not sure about that.

Any after market exhaust that allows better flow (IE: louder) will require rejetting.

I have a chopped vance&hines slip on on my FZR if that counts... I will also be hacking either another vance&hines or a yoshi slip on for my f2 fighter.

I like the shortened look a lot better, and sounds good too.

I'm seriously considering shortening up the V&H silencer on mine ... (totally different bike, i'm just agreeing that i think it looks better than a huge long *** silencer sticking out) ...

My bike came with a vance and hines from the previous owner and it was so quiet I thought it was stock. I just took off the can and run open pipe, now it is loud enough

Shortened vance&hines slip on's look great, Do it!

And i personally cant stand the sound of open headers on sport bikes...sounds crappy IMO.

I never saw a link in your post when i first looked at this thread...

Jesse was just trying to help you and give you some information that might be useful to you, Believe it or not there is a lot of people who don't know that you need to rejet when you add a slip on.

I believe a member on here (MBUAssassin) ran a moto gp exhaust on his f2 which looks to be similar to that exhaust.

when you chop your exhaust. You loose backpressure. So basically torque /hp . But as for the shortys . I think they look sick. kinda motogp ish. Wonder what the Gain/or loss in power is.

54 bux damnn. thats cheap...its probably just an truck exhuast tip you can buy at autozone with a touch of baffle. So basically its like running no exhaust. Not to good for the internals i would go with a name that actually has specs on there ****
