Default scope this out

So i have been looking and looking for a swingarm stand for so long and the things are expensive as hell. I only really plan to use it for basic things like chain lube and adjustment and oil changes and so on. Ebay is crawling with them so i got into a bidding war on one and lost. Good thing i decided to google the sellers name to see if he had a site because he is a rather big seller. I found the stand for cheaper there and he gives accurate shipping. 7 bucks shipped 30 for the stand. Looks to me just like a lockhart phillips.

What do you guys think?

damnit. I knew I payed too much for mine...and this just pretty much proved the point. His site didn't show it, but does he ever have auctions for front/fork stands?

I didnt see any. he said that he got these on like some sort of clearance because the directions are wrong. big deal as far as im concerned. I did see some decent triple tree stands for like 65 or 70 bucks though. That is the only way to go i think that way you can do fork seals nice and easy.

Why would it be prefered to use such a stand over the center stand...besides the inherit center of gravity thing.

I have the T Rex stands, you can get them on ebay for front and rear that are adjustable for $105 shipped. They are sturdy as all hell.
