I really only see Bondo which is used for dents and scrapes, but fiberglass works best for cracks I think

What did you use to fix your cracks and where can I get some !?

I think he used this. It's back on page 1.

Its actually a plastic repair by 3M, as you can see I used it on the back side, and I still have to finish off the front.
Its like JB weld but better. Runs about 50 bucks for a tube thing like that. Downside is you have to use a special gun.
Which is like 70 bucks for the gun alone.

I got the stuff at a parts and paint place (autovalue). It cost about 50 bucks and you need a special gun that is around 70.

Bondo is made for bare metal, you dont want to use it on plastic.

The tank wasn't needed to be primed because I am going to sand down the clear to 400 grit, just enough so the sealer has something to bite to, no need to prime it.

The only stickers that are under the clear are the ones on the tank. I used a heat gun and just pulled them off, used General purpose adhesion remover and a gray scuff pad and that got the glue off.

Default UPDATE!!!

Sanded most of the primer today. Cant wait for next friday to sand down and polish up the Two bros slip on and my mid pipe. Next week I will be putting some hi heat primer and flat black on the header, should clean it up pretty nice. Also next week the motorcycle classes are taking my tires off the rims for me for free ! That means no more ugly yellow! Pretty excited for next week!

Pictures of the sanded primer tonight!

Hey LS1,

Just want to warn you not to waste your time painting the header, the paint will cook off and really look like ****.

Before anyone argues "It's high temp exhaust paint, it's MADE for headers" please don't bother, it WILL cook off...

I tell everybody that wants nice looking headers to have them Ceramic coated, not only does it look better than paint it also adds power/efficiency. It is a thermal coating that keeps engine area cooler and the heat inside the headers.

It acts as a barrier against oncoming cool air that causes turbulance and less flow inside the header.

While you will probably not notice any power gains, in theory it does work... And it's pretty cheap
