Default Rectifier ?

i need some help i have a 94 cbr 600 f2 ... i found out that i am NOT getting a charge on my batt ... but a Drain ... the Rectifier WAS SO hott when i touched it ... i burnt my self ? dose that mean thats my charging problom ? if so where can i get one cheap ... if thats not the Problom ? Dose anyone know where to start !? thanks alot

That very much sounds like a bad R/R...Do a search here and there is a link to troubleshooting the R/R.

get a newer gsx-r rectifier, its working wonders for me!!! theres a write up on here somewhere about it......

the reg is supposed to be hot, that is how it dissapates the unused energy, but make sure that you have the bike above 5,000 rpms too, that is when the battery actually starts charging..also do this..

The honda rectifiers are notoriously bad, very small with limited heat dissipation.I just replaced mine with a 04 gsx-r unit, and the bike runs fantastic now.
