if its stock for stock then not really. just two bolts and thats it. just make sure the frame is held up or it will fall down when either bolt is taken out.

on an f4 or f4i shock should the end with the tube for the resevior be at bottom or top?

ok so anyone planning on swapping an f4 or f4i shock......you will need a new kickstand.......my seat height is so much higher that the rear wheel could easily slip out while on the stock kickstand.....if you are taller like me this feels much better as far as comfortablility...allthough i dont know how the handling will be....but it looks sick..the tail sticks much higher

Top.

Can you adjust the ride height? You don't want that shock to be too long, you'll tuck the front too easily.

yeaI beleive you can...but you need one of those little tools to do it....which I dont think I have...but I am plannin on lowering it as much as possible.

well unless theres another way to do it...I mean theres that little black ring at thetop of the shock that is numbered, andseems toadjust the height...?

That's the preload adjuster, it will adjust the sag but that's not a true "ride height" adjustment, it'll just bottom out easier... That's my guess, I'm not a suspension expert though [&:]
