READ THIS!!!
I am trying to sell my 94 F2. Me and some guy are going back a forth through email, I told him to make me an offer and he sends me this:
Based on my research (NADA book) the bike is worth around $375-$500.00-that is for a fair rated running bike.
He then continues to offer me $600 for the bike and tells me that he is not trying to low ball me. You believe the nerve of this guy!!

hahaha! Thanks. I needed that laugh. He obviously has no idea what he's looking at.
I once had some guy offer me $1000 cash for my 1972 corvette. It took all of my strength to not laugh in his face. Some people just don't get it.

That's funny considering that the NADA doesn't go prior to the 1995, which is the F3. Furthermore, the KBB value (which according to the adjuster tends to be a little high) states $2600.
The guy is not lying about his research. NADA does list 94...but anything over 15 years it lists as antique (though the real classification is classic). I dont completely agree with NADAs prices... I think they are a little too polar. Id pay about $2500 for an Excellent F2... maybe 1000 for Fair...according to NADAs definitions. Either way I would think with gas prices what they are it would be a sellers market for used bikes so dont get lowballed.

I only paid $500 for my 93 F2, but it wasn't running and had been dropped more than once. Got it running SWEET, put new tires on it, painted the glass front fairing, fixed a bunch of little stuff, but I wouldn't take $2000 for it now. Tell the guy to do a search on Craigslist and see what F2s in that year range are going for. Around here, bottom $$ is around $1500, and it's not unusual to see them asking over $3K.
