Re-intro + my second F2
Hey,
I used to be "bender600_93f2" but forgot my password and the admins for the site haven't responded to my lost password requests (waited 2 weeks). I have owned a '93 F2 for about a year and a half... great bike, 60K kms, silver/black, yoshi slip-on.
I just bought another F2 last week... 1991, blue/black, yoshi pipe, 89K kms and it only cost me $500 (canadian, i live in BC). The bike wasn't running when I picked it up but after draining the float bowls and rinsing out the tank with fresh gas it started right up and took me to and from the shop... felt great, better clutch than my '93 F2 and just as much power. I bought it without any plastics except the front fender and the little square piece above the headlight. The seat was also ripped up. I managed to find plastics for it on friday (only $135cnd for front lowers, uppers, access panels and a new seat). I also have a fiberglass race tail that I got for free off craigslist last year that I am going to modify and paint for the new bike (should I paint it black (stock) or blue to match the front fender and tank?).
Does anyone want the spare seat I have?
Pictures will follow.
Ben

I got lucky, that's all! They guy listed it for $650 and I was the only one that called I've been riding a fair bit the last few days, got rid of my supervisor restriction today and will road test in 3 weeks.
I'm in Van but my parents are in Vic. I visit every once in a while and would like to go for a ride, I will let you know next time I am over.
Dad mentioned in passing he is thinking about it now that I own one. I guess I broke the ice with Mom

That is extremely lucky... was there anything wrong with it? How many Kms? that makes me think I might be asking way to much for mine at $2900... I have had a bunch of interest/calls from people who want it so I probably won't be lowering the price much.... I do plan on letting it go for $2750 though.
Why did you move to flat old edmonton? Metchosin has such awesome roads.
That is funny (broke the ice for your dad) usually the dad gets the son into riding
You should tell him to buy my bike so you can have a matching set of F2s
Do you know of any secret roads in Metchosin? Gillespie is obviously dope, Kangaroo is good when not gravely and that one by the golf course is short but sweet. Definitely let me know when you are in Vic next so we can go for a rip.
