Default A piece of my heart gone

I've had my 1992 CBR 600 F2 since my sophomore year of high school. Much of how I grew up to be today, I say must be accredited to the F2. It definitely kept me away from trouble during my teenage years and I made life long friends because of it! I've poured both my heart and soul into the bike over the last few years. Not to mention, the amount of miles! I've been pondering about selling the bike for a very long time.

It wasn't until about one month ago when I finally decided that I wanted a "real" CBR1000RR Fireblade (Inside Joke). Recap: My CBR has a 2004 CBR1000RR complete fairing swap lol. If I had someway of getting a Fireblade without selling my F2, I would have easily done that. However, time is of the essence!

The F2 is a fantastic machine. A marvel of a machine. The engine is absolutely bullet proof once you install the aftermarket CCT. I just hope that my next bike; whichever it turns out to be, is just as reliable as the trusty F2!

Here's a little history on how I obtained my F2.

From this trade:

To this:

And then this happened:

And hopefully in the near future!

Or...THIS!

Wish me luck! I'll make sure to post a pic on the F2 section once I get a 1000RR or RC51. Hopefully, it won't get moved to the 1000RR threads LOL. See ya on the flip side!

That think was horrendous at the beginning, look at the size of that air filter and the wheels... Must have been terrible to ride: The transformation you made was definitely for the better! More pictures of the Repsol theme please

I've never been near a 1000rr, but they have a reputation of being a wild beast!

What is that thing in the first pic? Deffy aint an f2...

That air filter`s probably the most disproportionate piece i`ve ever seen on any bike!

It's a 110cc pocket bike that I traded in for the F2 hehe. Yes the air filter was just for pure show!

dayng! looks like an insta-suicide-machine! The "biggest" thing I`ve ridden in that genre is a 50cc "superbike", you know, one of those that you can carry with one hand, no suspension and goes like the devil himself is chasing you! Well, at least it felt like that in a dirt road. We had plans with my mates that we`d get one each of those and go thrashing in the local go-kart track, we would have paid the track fee and everything but our application was declined, they don`t let anything else on the track than go-karts. Quite frankly can`t even remember the last time there was an actual race, but if they rather let the track push weed than let us there then fine, we`ll figure something else to do...

Check out my profile for my CBR1000RR album. Check the January "CBR of the month" page for it as well. I took one last picture before I sold it off last night. I will post a picture of that here if you'd like.

The top bike looks like most uncomfortable, most dangerous (almost) and ugliest bike I've seen.

I just bought a 2006 CBR 600RR with 4000 original miles. Clean title, original owner. I got it for a deal I couldn't pass up. $2300! I sold my F2 for $2500. So I basically traded in my F2 for a 2006 600RR plus a $200 cash bonus LOL. Everything is cosmetic, new fairing kit and seat should do it. I'll probably sell it for 5 grand and hopefully get a 1000RR. Yes I have to admit, it looks horrible. I am in the process of removing all the red engine paint and black paint on the swing arm. Also getting rid of the dirt bike handle bars as well.

Go for the RC51. You'll get more "hey what bike is that?"
