Default picking up and moving on.

Well my F2 has served me well and been an amazing bike I finally am moving on to the next thing. I took the ownership of a new bike as of yesterday and brought it home! Some pics of the old & new now:

1991 CBR600F2

(My girlfriend chilling on the Goof Two.)

So anyways, as much as I like my F2, here is my new bike:

2000 CBR600F4

Anyways, after 2 hours of having the bike parked in my garage, I had torn it down: (terrible cell phone pics)

The bike is getting the following:

new tires front and rear, chain (did x-ring2 gold & black), vortex sprocket set, new fork seals, manual cam chain tensioner, EBC HH brake pads front and rear and a fresh clean K&N air filter. Also, i just did an oil change to repsol synthetic 10w40 today. nothing special but I want this bike to be mint when I am finished with it.

LOL, I was cought off guard too. (and love the Goof Two -reminds me of when I worked at a parts store and a certain ethnic person came in with a Goolie. -pontiac 6000LE)

The F4 must have been a fantastic deal for you to put so much money into it the day you got it.

The bike was $4300 canadian and came with a helmet & pocket bike. 18xxx km on the clock.

Today I got the front end jacket up with an engine hoist and pulled the forks out. Tommorow, the manual cam chain tensioner, chain and sprocket set are going into the bike. Saturday, new front tire & fork seals/oil.

Keep the F-2. It's a good bike. Why didn't you shoot for a 600rr instead? Around here, I could pick one up for about the same price as your f-4.

I prefer the F4's seat and ride to be honost. I've ridden an 03 RR and it was not near as comfortable. I like to do trips on my bike. This summer I will be going around the great lakes (leave in a couple weeks actually) and I would like to do it in a little comfort.
