Default petcock(haha I said the c word)

HELP ME MY PETCOCK GOT AN STD (it keeps leaking). so I ran outta gas this week. I filled it up the day b 4! GAHH darn gas prices. But it looks like it's leaking from the opposite side of the gas hookup.
should I buy a new one? rebuild this one? Anyone ever used JB?? haha I'm poor?!

what color is the discharge?


i used to get 35mpg but now i have a leaky **** also and i get about 30 =[[

JB doesn't really deal well with petroleum leaks.

Man - bikebandit and servicehonda both show it as a full unit, or 2 halves - none of the parts are cheap. Doesn't look like a part that is intended to be rebuilt.

but for $150-190 for a new replacement unit (lol - I said unit) - i think I'd look @ rebuilding somehow too.

Marine-text is a strong adhesive that isn't gas soluble. It's holding the fuel rail for my carbs on my hurricane together now!

I have this problem. believe it or not. I wrapped that **** with some electric tape and it hasnt let 1 drop out since. and its been about a month Im an expert with ghetto rigging though

i had the same problem i rebuilt mine. drilled out the rivets threaded the holes put a new spring in for the ball valve and used indian head gasket and the old gasket. havent had a problem since cost me a total of like ten bucks. i got the spring from a kit i got at harbor freight tools and indian head gasket is messy but works like nothing else imo. i have some pics if you want them.
if you take it apart you should replace the spring it looses strength after a while and the new one i put in is 8000x better.
