paint scheme?
Yeah, fender should have the matching stripes. Your wheel's at an angle so I couldn't paint them on very well. With thefront wheel straight, you'dhave the lines of the stripes all match with the fairings.
Do the white stripe first with a little overlap into the red and black zones - like aneighth of an inch or so. Then do your black and redover top(easier to paint dark colors over light).
PM me if you need any help with how to do it.

tip on the spray cans... put them in warm water before you do it. like get a 5 gal bucket of pretty warm water, put the cans in there before you do it. it raises the pressure inside the can and makes the spray finer and covers SOOOOO much better
i painted my bike last summer and the best advice i can give is dont skimp on the prep work! the more time you put in to sanding and primeing correctly the better it will look in the end. i dont know if you have any rash on the fairings (mine had quite a bit) but take your time with the bondo and do it right. its much easier to fix things in the beginning then to have to resand when you find problems after you have painted.
Whatever you do, please burn that seat! I think I might still have a stock one in the attic. It's yours free of charge if you promise to destroy that thing.Looks like something from the 70's.
See after my bike was stolen the kid who stole it was getting chaced by the police and and got scared and layed it down then the tow truck guy from the police impound yard who was taking the bike in for evidence flipped the bike over to its good side and dragged the thing up on the flat bed after all said and done "out of pocket because of not having full coverage", all i did was have it painted silver frost metalic. The color came off my 95 thunderbird. It cost me $800 but that was because of the restore work done to the tail fairings and up left fearings and stay bracket. thats what happends when you hit the payvment doing 60 and slides for 60ft. Just the paint wouldve been $250. and he told me he was high in price because of the job he does. Let me tell you somthing he friggin did it. He knows how to use his paint gun because this bike is flauless. I did all the decals myself. The pics are color sceme before and after!
