paint scheme?
alright so after my wreck i kinda have some mix and match fairings, and fuel tank haha.
i just orderd a primerd black plastic right fairing, and i have a spare black front fender
what do you guys think i should do for a paint scheme? i dont really want to repaint the gas tank but i could.
try and use the original colors the best you can to your imagination, im broke as a joke.

RE: paint scheme?
I wrecked mine and I am just going to re paint the entire thing but then again the only 2 things that were in good shape were my front fender and tank. I run with a mustang car club down here and one of my friends is going to spray mine for free. I have to provide the paint and everything else. The majority of our schemes are vinyls so all you really need to worry about is the base color. Hope this helps.

RE: paint scheme?
im on a low budget, so im going to rattlecan....
but im going to primer 3-4 coats and do 2 or 3 paint and maybe 1 or 2 of clear. think thatll be legit for a rattle can? i keep the cans pretty far back so it applys smoothly, i also sand everything down like i should.
and when i sand the fairings do i need to get it down to the plastic or is it ok if i leave the factory primer on there? i heard it had a really good bond.
im thinking all black with white and red vinals so that way i dont have to mess with the tank

All black with the tank sould look pretty good.
OR...
Carry the stripes thru the front fender. Smudge the wing on the tank down into the white. Do the rest black.
You could rattlecan that pretty easy.
Leave as much of the factory primer as you can. But sand and sand good. Thin coats, wet sand in between, and use a tack cloth. Give the paint ample time to dry between coats.
Do it right and take your time it will look every bit as good as a shop.

RE: paint scheme?
that would look pretty sweet rey! thaks for taking the time to open up paint, haha.
and maybe a white vinyal pointed stripe coming from the lower half of the lower fairing.
so it looks like im going to have to sand the entire upper fairing and fender by hand..cant wait haha.
what should i do with the back half of the fender? keep it black?
oh and finding an exact red to match the gas tank is going to be kind of tough huh?
