Hi folks, anyone know where I can download the Owner's Handbook (Note: NOT the Workshop/Service Manual) for a CBR600F2?

Also the Common Service Manual?

Many have asked for this before in this forum, but every time they are referred to the workshop manuals instead.

I have yet to see any F2 owners handbook on the net.

If I had the handbook myself I would scan and post it, but alas my handbook is in German, Italian and French only.
As I don't understand a word of any of those languages I too am looking for an English copy.

 

Uh, I'm not brilliant at any single one of those languages, but I have a smattering of all three.
That, combined with a solid technical background and a good knowledge of bikes might be enough for me to get the things I want from it, if you would consider scanning and uploading your handbook.

I have a Clymer manual. Anything specific you need?

Thanks for your reply. I have already downloaded a Workshop/Service Manual, which is good as far as it goes, but often makes reference to the Common Service Manual, which I don't yet have, so I could do with a source for downloading that.
The bike is in beautiful condition and needs no work, so it is not a pressing need at the moment, but it would be nice to have it, just in case.
My most immediate requirement, however, is the Owner's Handbook. I need it not so much for anything specific, but more in case I'm missing anything I really ought to be aware of.
For example, is it o.k. to check the oil level with the bike resting on the kickstand? Somebody told me I need to use only racing-quality oil: is this true? Is regular automobile antifreeze (suitably diluted) o.k. to use? and any other stuff along those lines.
Obviously, I would prefer to read the answers out of the book, rather than just go by hearsay, hence this request.

You will find this sort of information in a clymer or haynes manual.

As for this specific question - the owners handbook specifies that
oil should be checked with the bike on its centerstand, making sure
the bike is as level as possible.

...except most F2's (read: every one I've ever seen) don't have center stands. Get a friend to hold it up straight!

As for coolant, yeah regular car coolant works. Be sure to use de-ionized and distilled water to help reduce and avoid corossion and buildup. There is a coolant alternative known as "water wetter" which is required for racing as it doesn't leave slippery sludge on a track. It also is known to run cooler, so it's great for warm weather temperatures. It does not have any resistance to freezing however, which may not work for your climate.
