Octane Boost...real deal, or sales gimick?
So does anyone know if adding Octane Boost to a new tank of gas actually increases performance.... or are companies just trying to make money by telling you it will ? I use Premium Pump fuel already and am just curious if octane boost does anything.

you should do a search regarding octane and performance.
you should use the minimum octane required for the bike not to ping. this is for maximum power, ensures all fuel is burned up.

for those who say you "NEED" the higher octane in your bike or car, you really need to read this and stop throwing away your money. higher octane will not affect your power or smoothness in any way unless you are using a high compression engine. sorry to burst your bubble, but high octane is designed for high compression engines. my gsxr1000 runs perfect off of 87 octane gas. i guarnatee that its compression ratio is MUCH higher than any of your old hondas or SUV's
octane is the fuels resistance to premature ignition. NOT a power additive or engine cleaner.
