Default noise when cold

So my bike (94cbr600f2) makes kind of a rattle when its cold. I had it in the shop awhile ago and the guy mentioned something about the oil pressure needs to get up and the noise will go away. I've read some posts about the cct, is this related to that? im kinda mechanically challenged. just wondering if this is an easy fix or does it even need to be fixed?? thoughts?

Default I'm no expert

I'm no expert but I would guess the CCT. Check the right side of the engine to see if the rattle is coming from there. Use a wooden rod of some sort, I used a broom stick when I did this, and place it on the engine in different spots. If you put your ear up to the rod you can hear the rattle much better. Try to find where it is the loudest, if its the loudest on the right side of the engine I would say it is the CCT. Thats what was wrong on my F3. Good luck.

most likely it is your CCT, and its an extremely easy fix. If you know how to screw and unscrew bolts, and put sealant on a gasket, and have an hour to tinker, you got what it takes. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Manua...item2561c1a01d

heres the guide for a replacement with a manual one, if you replace with a OEM one just ignore the manual adjustment parts i guess.

dont... The CCT doesn't go bad, so replacing it won't help. You would have to replace your oil pump to get the OEM CCT to sound right. Get the APE manual tensioner.

Does it sound like this?:

It's a video of the cam chain noise from my F2. The noise is only there when the bike has warmed up. No cam chain noise when the engine is cold.

This video is of the same bike after I installed a manual cam chain tensioner:

What oil are you using in your engine?

Just my personal experience but my OEM CCT was bad and i replaced it with a new OEM CCT and it fixed everything, so sometimes it does go bad.

When my CCT went bad it only made then rattling noise when cold. Now it might have made it when warm but it must have been much quiter. the only time I heard it was when it was cold.
