Default No spark, can anyone help?

I have rebuilt my CBR for track days and I am not getting a spark. The things I have checked so far is:
New spark plug coulpled in HT lead and earthed on cylinder head on all four leads... no spark.
Checked main ignition fuse. Are there anymore fuses?
I did take off the side stand along with wiring... could this bea potential fault?
Could it be the CDI unit?
Is it possible that both ignition coils have packed up.

Where do I start? Any help appreciated.

It could be the side stand kill switch, I believe when you remove all that you need to do something to ensure that it's not always in "off" mode.

My bet's on the side stand...

Download the Service Manual. It has a whole troubleshooting section on this subject.

Wouldnt the side stand completely kill everything in the ignition though? does the motor still turn and there is just no spark?

Yep, the motor will crank and crank and crank but never fire, same effect as leaving the killswitch on.

The bike will start even with a side stand down. It just won't go into gear without dying.

I'm with the poster who mentioned the service manual. There are so many things to check for and ways to test the coils and other wiring.

Well personally, i would check the ignitor box. thats really all i can think about. if it was the side stand it wouldnt crank because it would kill everything (if it was removed improperly). in other words the sidestand isnt going to just stop spark its going to stop everything. doubt both coils went bad at the same time. my 2cents

I re-assembled the side stand and it works how it should do but still no spark. The bike ran perfectly before I crashed it on it's left hand side.

Whats the procedure for checking the coils and CDI unit? The bike turns over ok.

One other question; if the kill switch is set to off, should the motor still turn over because it does?

yes, the starter will still turn the engine.....only kills the ignition.

I would check the kill switch real good first :-)
