new to the forum!
I bought my first street bike! A94 f2! Purple, black and yellow. Bought it with 12000 miles on it for only $800.00!
A kid at work knew I was thinking about buying a bike, he kept telling me that he had this old Honda for sale. It didn't sound too interesting. Then I went to look at it! It was sitting in his garage for 4yrs, covered in dust, rusty header, filthy wheels, cracked fairing. Of course I bought it! My wife calls it "My mid life crisis" I put 2 new continental Hyper-Sports on it, a new front brake lever, air cleaner, plugs, changed the oil, sandblasted and repainted the Yoshimura pipeand proceeded to put on 2000 miles on her since May '07! WHAT A RUSH! My friends have cruisers and Harleys, they don't understand why I keep looking for the twisty roads. They don't get it! Six months ago I didn't know what "chicken strips" were, now I'm doin' my best to get them off of my tires! I've been thinking of replacing the damaged upper right fairing, but I read a post showing repairs done with plastic weld. I'll give it a go.It seems to stumble at 3500 - 4000 rpm, I need to check to see if there was ever any changes made to the jets when the pipe was installed. Is it necessary to rejet with an aftermarket pipe? This winter I'll replace the chain and sprockets, major carb cleaning. Thanks for all of the good info on this forum, it's great!
