Arrow pointing down is regular on mine. Arrow up is reserve. To the left is off.

 

AAHH!! That's what I thought... I've had it left the whole time and it's been working fine... so I got confused. Guess it must be busted... Time to open her up. Thanks man...

Thanks man, glad to be part of the group. I just got done swapping out the chain and sprockets last night (old one was rusty and stretched well past its useful life). I'll post a more "formal" intro to myself here soon.
