I paid $2800 for mine in decent condition. I only paid that much because it has 5000 miles on it. YOu should be able to talkhim down to at least $2500.

Is that the only pic available?

It's taken from too far away to see what kind of condition it's in.

The closer the pics, usually the better condition the bike I've found.

Have you seen it in person yet? Price sounds a little high IMO [&o]

I just picked up a '93 F2 with 16k miles for $2100. I would definitely negotiate the price down if you can. Make sure to look over everything before buying it. Good luck! Let us know how it turns out!

Price being asked is too high. Offer low $2ks like everyone mentioned.

Not sure where you are, but people seem to think that bikes appreciate in value when they get old. I saw an ad on CL last week for a 88 or 89 CBR and they wanted $3k. I almost e-mailed just to point out that they were asking about 2x what the bike might be worth in great shape.

Here is the actual link. Thank for the advice thus far. I talked him down to 2500. I haveent looked at it in person either. Is it that much more power in a cbr600 vs a 500(Suzuki gs500f)

As far power, Im 210 and my wifeis around 120. WHat should I do? THanks all.

I would try to talk him down, I scooped up my F2 for $500 and it was in great shape, the only thing I put on there was new tires and new plugs. Had 20k miles when I bought it.
