$50 is about right, maybe a few bucks more.

If there's anybody still running a hydraulic tensioner, it's worth the cash to just replace it BEFORE it gives up.

All Honda's have ****ty OEM tensioners and almost 100% of them need to be replaced at some point.

My bike's still got the OEM hydraulic and it works fine, if it goes, it's getting another hydraulic. I don't wanna have to adjust it every few hundred miles.

I don't know where you heard you have to adjust it every few hundred miles, but that's not the case.

I have not had to adjust my manual CCT in more than 6000kms. My friend's F2 has an OEM CCT and it is a piece of Sh*t... get an APE manual one.

If the CCT is not too far gone than the noise will go away once the oil is up to pressure... (ie. goes away when warm). (I think) this is because the pressure of the oil will keep the Cam Chain 'in line'/tensioned.
The noise will get worse and last longer as your OEM CCT deteriorates.

To confirm, is it like a knocking noise? I took a shatty video.
This is a cold start. It's very hard to here the knocking if it is what it is ( could be the CCT , valve noise, or some other knocking) . It is a little more noticeable when i turn the choke off.

Go with the APE. I bought a new OEM one and still had the noise. Bought the APE, noise gone.
