Thanks for the numbers, I'll have to readjust them. If sitting on the bike, choke off-handle pointing more toward the rider as opposed to the sky. As far as the cable is concerned, I did the same thing you do, and clamp it lined up with the cable.

If it is getting too much gas, what can I do? I know about turning off fuel and motoring the bike and have tried this before, but still nothing. Would it be an issue with the floats and needles?

I'll also be checking compression sometime soon (finally) just gotta go get the tester from my uncle.

sitting on the bike - choke lever pushed upwards/away from you is off. pulled toward you/down is on.

Hmm that's what i thought but i guess it's the terminology of the clymer manual that's throwing me off. Now that I read it again I see how I could get it mixed up. says when it's upright that's fully open
