Default main wiring harness

Does an f3's main wiring harness work on a 91 f2? I keep popping my main fuse.. If i unplug the rectifier it does not pop. Even with a new rectifier it does pop still. i cant figure out where the problem lies but my wiring harness isnt in the best of shape anymore. Any ideas?

Sounds like you only have continuity to a hot wire when the rectifier is connected and that there's a short somewhere. I'd check the wires and all the connections on the opposite end that are hot or are supplying a ground when the rectifier is hooked up and figure out where you've got the short. You've isolated the fact that its something that connects to the rectifier and you've eliminated the rectifier as a possibility. So it seems to make pretty good sense that you have a short in the wiring somewhere.

if your wire harness isnt in the best shape, ie ghetto rigged, I'd replace the whole thing personally. I was looking at a 929 yesterday that had something wrong with the wiring, so bad that the owner said screw it and is having a new wiring harness plugged in.

Go look at your wiring harness, and all of the connectors and sensors, and I believe you will answer that question on your own
