Lowering CBR?
Really? Do both of your feet plant into the ground when your at a stop? I can only get one foot completely solid on the ground. The other foot is dangling. My preload for the back is at setting 1. That's the weakest right?
It is easy to change the preload and test it.
I put mine on 1 the other day, it does not feel too safe tho. I put it right back to 6. It felt like I was on a 4x4 SUV, that softness is not something I would like in the rear of my bike. I may be wrong, but I dont think leaning in a turn with soggy suspension is a good idea.
I have done some research and it looks like lowering has to be done through lowering links.
Now, should the read be extended after lowering?
BTW, my bike is used so idk if any mods were made before I got it, but I am 5.10 and I have both feet flat on ground .
but with racing plastics, belly does not hit speedbumps. so I dont think it has been lowered.

This is the tool I used:
Performance Tool Wilmar W54057 Small Oil Filter Pliers, 1-3/4" to 4"
same I use for oil filter in my car and bike.
Super easy. (I found out after trying the hammer, etc etc lol). WIth that tool, you can turn it as easy as oil filter or even easier.
BTW, the link is just to show the tool. Idk that website or if price is good, but all local auto shops sell them very cheap.

I had a friend break his lowering links, don't cheap out on this part, get a good brand and be sure the bolts and everything are for that setup. Its your life on that bike make sure its worth the troubles.
does someone know if this is good ?

But I think I can work my way around that. I'm thinking my wrench to adjust my coilovers on my car would work. I'm going to give that a try.
