I'm really looking to investing in a hid kit over the winter. But anywhere i search i just get the cheapass ebay kits. Anybody recommend a good site to fid a hid kit? preferably around 12k so i can get the purpleish light to match the bike color.

ddm tunning makes a nice kit that is a very good price. like under 50 bucks shipped.
but that high of k may make it a harder to see cause of the light being so purple.

 

anybody have any luck with this company?

 

I installed a DDM hi/low 55w 5000k kit in July. My ballast was DOA and they replaced quickly without issue.

12K is gonna lose light output - the higher your K value goes, the lower the actual lumen output is.

yes i also use ddm for all my bikes and hade no problems at all...id say go with them for sure..
