Finally after rebuild the motor I got the chance to try and start the bike. Before I get into details about what happen today, I want to back track a little so you can see what I went through. First, I bought the bike at the end of June for a few hundred bucks, all the fairings are rashed and missing other cosmetic stuff, mirror, grip, etc. Also the stator cover and flywheel/magneto were destroyed as well as the lower crankcase had a big chunk missing.It had been sitting for about 4 years!!!I droped the motor and rebuilt it from the ground up with a new crankscase, new flywheel, new stator, new stator cover, internals are from the same motor. Now, back to the future, I put the motor in last week but found a crack in the rad when I put in coolant, I filled the crack for the time being. I bought a battery and toped off all the fluids, fresh gas. Hit the start button and motor started to crank. After about five minutes of trying to start the motor it would not start. Finally after about ten minutes I realized that I had the engine switch to off, flipped ittoRUNand BAM!!!!! started right up. Did not take her for a ride yet though. I am very excited because this is the first motor that I had every rebuilt and was not too confident that it would work. Will post picks tomorrow
