I'm new here
but I'm not new to riding. Just thought I'd share my latest project with you guys. This is actually the first Honda I've owned... mostly GSXR's with a few Yamahas and one Kawi mixed in. My cousin bought this bike back in '03-ish and laid it down at about 75mph in '04-ish. It sat in or around his barn up until a few weeks ago. I'd asked him about it a few times over the years and he'd always say he was gonna fix it up someday. Well a few months ago he says 'how much is that old CBR worth to you?' and I say 'ummm, how about a case of PA's finest lager?'
'OK,' he says, 'and another case to haul it to your shop'. Deal.
So, here is my $45 bike:

It went down on the other side, obviously, but it isn't bad. The upper is really the only thing that's beyond fixable... the tank wasn't touched. I cleaned the carbs, threw a battery in it and got it running, but it definitely needs some tuning. My original plan was to sell it for a nice profit, but now I'm thinking I just need to keep it and ride the **** out of it. Next step will be to do some carb tuning and figure out a low-budget but still respectable headlight setup...
and just for kicks, here's the rest of the shop. I'm getting sick of working on cars... going back to my roots. 2>4

wow 45 bucks is a great deal. good luck on it. heck for that cheap you could beat the **** out of it and resell it and still make a profit. and nice garage! i wish i had a place like that. I spent alot of time in my buddies garage fixing up a r/t tt stealth (dont ever go dsm anyone reading this) and after getting it running also realized a bike would be way nicer. bike looks good though and i am sure it will be fun
